Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard has posted on Instagram ‘well deserved broski’, as he reacted to the news that West Ham United forward, Jarrod Bowen, has earned his first England call.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Gareth Southgate, with Bowen now joining his West Ham teammate, Declan Rice, on the international stage.
It has been a long time coming for Bowen because he has, alongside Rice, probably been his side’s best player this season – and during the last campaign.
Lingard would have seen last season, when he was on-loan at the London Stadium, what the former Hull City man is all about – but could the soon-to-be out-of-contract Man United star return to the club?
Nonetheless, when Bowen posted on his Instagram that he ‘can’t wait to get started’ with the Three Lions.
Lingard posted in the comments section ‘well deserved broski’, whilst Rice added ‘see you soon’ and Ray Winstone also commented saying, ‘congratulations Jarrod on your England call up. Very well deserved’.
BOWEN IS A FRONT RUNNER FOR ENGLAND’S 2022 WORLD CUP SQUAD
Even though Bowen is yet to make his England debut, he surely has to be a front runner for the 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar?
Over the course of the campaign, the versatile forward has scored 12 Premier League goals and supplied the same amount of assists.
It’s Europe again for the Hammers and Bowen has played a massive part in it all.
Plus, outside of Harry Kane, there aren’t many England attackers that are putting up numbers and proving to be a goal threat like the deadly hammer from the east.
